Although not the most ideal situation you can receive some benefit in using the "QuickTest Script Editor" You can at least have two scripts open at the same time. One in QTP and the other in QuickTest Script Editor. This is found in the Tools Folder in the QuickTest Professional easily accessible in the Start Menu from Windows. Some may find this more beneficial than others but I use this feature when trying to copy already implemented solutions that I dont remember off the top of my head. I open the second script and copy, compare etc...
