Hi Sravya, As u said ur object is like a Excel Object,Even though QTP will not recongize the object. So,You have to convert that object into Standard Object by using Virtual Object Wizard(Ex:Like a Table Object) and try to use the table functions to retrive the data from that application (Ex:GetCellData.....etc...). Try this .
