ALM introduces very good feature to make manual testing very easy Sprinter automatically logs the user activity on the application in English (like: press login button) and allows creating a manual test case in QC that contains those documented user actions. This automatic log of the user activity helps document test cases by browsing the application and specifically to create a formal test from an informal test.
Regarding automatic replay of user activity, Sprinter allows recording macros, that the user can then replay as needed. Macros, contain a series of user actions that are logged and that can automatically replay. Sprinter will not store that macro recording as a test case, as the path from manual to automation should be different and functional testing requires more parameterization and other capabilities. For automatic funtional testing, we provide the Quick Test Professional application.
