Hi Nidhi, Here are a list of things you could try :
1) Go to IE > Tools > Manage Add-ons, make sure BHOManager class (Browser Helper Object) from Mercury Interative Corporation is enabled. Then, disable other add-ons, such as third-party toolbar, add- ons from anti-virus companies, etc. This is to make sure nothing is preventing QTP from hooking into the browser. 2) Go to Start > Run, unregister and register BHOManager.dll: regsvr32 -u c:\WINDOWS\system32\BHOManager.dll regsvr32 c:\WINDOWS\system32\BHOManager.dll If the above does not change the behavior after all, please do a Repair installation of QTP. It should fix possible corruptions and reconfigure browser settings. Here's some info on the dll : http://www.file.net/process/bhomanager.dll.html Thanks, Abhijeet On Mar 9, 6:14 pm, nik <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi Nidhi, > > Can you please try DLL registration using given example > > regsvr32 “C:\Windows\System32\myfile.dll” > > Please let me know if it works > > Thanks > Nikhil Gangwar > > On Mar 2, 4:28 pm, Nidhi Sharma <[email protected]> wrote: > > > > > > > > > Hi All, > > > The object identification is not happening with the fresh installation of > > qtp 10.0 using windows IE 8 > > I have tried the follwoing settings: > > > 1) Set the smart identification enable. > > 2) Record and settings-->windows application-->selected first option. > > > please let me know what further options i can try to make qtp 10.0 work in > > identifying web objects. > > > Thanks > > Nidhi -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google "QTP - HP Quick Test Professional - Automated Software Testing" group.
