Hi Ann, 1. Please provide more details like, what is the QTP version, what is the app that you are trying to automate ( in general, but maybe not helpful in your case because it's issue with getvisibletext)
2. It is a good idea if you can explain what are the things you have tried already (doesn't matter if it is right or wrong). 3. Please note that GetVisibleText is not reliable to work with in the first place. Is there no other way to retrieve the text besides GetVisibleText ? Maybe you already tried this, but if you are getting a popup like "Memory could not be read", try changing the DEP settings (Data Execution Prevention settings) to 'ALWAYS OFF' on the execution machine.
