tough one, I dont want to say you can not do it but it is not easy to
create reports in QTP using vbscript. certainly possible. If you do not
have time constrain or just wana learn how to do it then go to that route.
Otherwise you can work around like that...
Create report in text files which is easy in vb script
then use any opensource tool to covert files from text to pdf. (now
you can automate this tool to perform manual task, since there are free web
based tools available)
I am sure there are expert here done that by using vbscript.
