Hi Rahul,
its pretty simple,
Go to run and record setting from automation menu,
Click on windows application tab
Select Record and run test on any open windows based applications '
radio button.
Click on ok.
And now try ... Qtp won't open your application automatically

Willy,
have you tried making the windows application field in record settings as
blank and then running your test ?
If No, then please try the same else , you have to provide a screenshot of
your record and run settings window to all of us.
