Hi Kalyan, Both the questions don't have any fixed answers. These would have been my answers (these are based upon my personal project experiences)
1) I have written test scripts that have varied from 20-30 LOC to around 6000 LOC. It entirely depends upon the application(s), the flow of the test cases etc. Hence there is no fixed answer to this. And this has got nothing to do with the insurance domain.. 2) Time to develop a script again depends on a lot of things - like LOC, complexity of code, maturity of the automation framework etc. For example, during the initial days of framework creation, you tend to write scripts at a slower pace as you are still creating the reusable functions. Jump over a couple of months, the time taken to write a script may reduce drastically because you would have written most of the reusable functions. And at this point in time, you would be much more comfortable with the framework and the application. * cheers, a n i s h [QTP Framework Tutorials]<http://www.automationrepository.com/2012/03/qtp-framework-types-an-introduction/>| [QTP Blogs] <http://www.automationrepository.com/qtp-blogs/> ** [Subscribe to get new posts in your Inbox]<http://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/mailverify?uri=automationrepository/feeds> * On Sat, Sep 21, 2013 at 7:25 AM, Ravi kiran <[email protected]>wrote: > Kalyan, automation script development is not based on the domain,it is > based on the regression test cases.
