Hi Dear Members,
Please let me know if any of our members are working on Mainframe
Automation using QTP. I am working as a Automation Test Engineer now we are
going to automate Mainframe application using QTP through Attachmate Extra
Xtreme Emulater. I need to provide feasability for this how many are
possible to automate and how many are not?.
So Please let me know what are the challenges we are going to face while
automating mainframe application.Is it Terminal Emulater addin is mandatory
to work on mainframe application?. I came to know that we can automate
mainframe application even without using Terminal Emulater and without
using QTP directly through Excel Macros using Bus function and Gui function
of QTP.
Anybody worked through Macros approach or any other approach pls let me
know how can I proceed? and pls provide any code,functions for this
mainframe automation or any docs it will be useful for me.
