As per my understanding, you have faced these situation Once you recorded/identified any item then the item value was supposed to be "item4" which was on 3rd position in list. case 1: if item value is get changed at run time then you can use indexing of that object. case 2: if item place is chnaged in list then you can use item innertext or value of recorded object.
