Hi,

Except folders, all items (files  / any kind setup / zip file / image file 
etc.)  are considered to be a FILE.
So if you get the no of files and folders ,then sum of these two is the 
total no of items present in that parent folder.

Hope you can understand and please correct me if I am wrong.
