Is there someone who implements this?
I think it would be nice to have the normal delete option to delete
roads with nodes and then a delete function through shift+del which
deletes only roads.

Don't think so.
So it is really difficult to know which node delete. We can try to do
a smart function, but my experience with smart software is
difficulties and unpredictabilities. For me an editor must stay as
simple as possible. It's the user job to be smart.
The result of deleting roads without the nodes will be lots of nodes
without tags in the database.
We should have both delete modes, no?
Could be. Default should be the same as the other editors thought, which
means deleting nodes together with ways.
