 This is is hardly ever a problem, though. If one mistypes and modifies 
something, undo is just a click/keystroke away. If there are focus issues, we 
should fix those.
 Of course, I propose only simplifying those shortcuts that are quick and 
easily undoable. For example, upload and download should be combos (download 
is slow, upload should be VERY intentionally done).

 I only boot my computer when the power fails (which sadly is quite often...), 
and wouldn't close merkaartor if it weren't because there is no way to know 
how old data is.
 I don't find this feature to be a priority, though, given how fast merkaartor 
opens, but it would be /nice/.

 I agree that more properties as tooltips would be nice. For example road 
names are often not displayed until zoomed very far in, which is sometimes a 
problem, and just hovering over a line and seeing a tooltip show up would be 
nice.
