becouse it is not always the cursor is showing a "move icon" when you are in
move mode
and then it is difficulte to see if you are in "move mode" or standard "select
mode"
and it it standard behaivure to have the current selected tool marked

Mmm... Could you explain why the fact that the cursor changes is not enough?
Personally, I find the toolbar quite useless and have it hidden at all time...
