Imagine all you want to do is to add points of interest, for example by using OSMtracker on Android, but you don't want to waste battery power by using the gps all the time to create a track of an area which is already mapped. As a result you'd have a photo with the coordinates saved in the exif tags. Loading this into merkaartor would be useful for me - I'd get a photo which points to a node, and I'd be able to tag the node according to the information from the photo. My preferred work flow would be: Import a lot of photos, nodes are created more or less automatically (I think it would be nice to be able to choose for which photos a node should be created), and a list of images is presented to work with. -- Bernd Zeimetz Debian GNU/Linux Developer http://bzed.de http://www.debian.org GPG Fingerprints: 06C8 C9A2 EAAD E37E 5B2C BE93 067A AD04 C93B FF79 ECA1 E3F2 8E11 2432 D485 DD95 EB36 171A 6FF9 435F _______________________________________________ Merkaartor mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/merkaartor
