Amen brother John!!
I have really been trying to get around *not* having my computer equipment
at home that I *used to* use for testing software, networking setups, etc.
Sigh...I have to check my email at work, I've been staying late at work to
prepare some legal documents, etc.
They took things that didn't even belong to me, such as my cable modem
(rental), a tape drive I was testing, the tape drive manual (???), loose
hard drives that weren't even in any of my computers, etc.
Sucks to be me :-)
And then finding out that US WEST can, apparently, tap your line any time
they like without a court order...yikes! How spooky is that? I say that
just as soon as we get some local competition, everyone in the US WEST 14
state area should switch just as *soon as you can* and show them that their
big bully tactics will hurt them in the end.
If you live in some parts of Washington state, you may already be able to
use GTE as your local dial-tone provider. Think about it...
