The latest issue (September 26, 1998) of New Scientist, a British general science magazine, has a short article on Blosser's recent misfortunes. It's the standard stuff, nothing new or insightful, but I thought the group might appreciate the article's characterization of GIMPS participants as a "ragtag bunch of number-lovers".
