Hi everybody,
It seems my post stir a strong reaction. I didn't want to attack anybody, but
direct the attention on some number for which to calculation looks to be
stalled.
Last afternoon I checked the primes with an expected completion time over
one year. It appear than some comes from calculation error, some are no
longer process and some are just painfully slow.
I have myself a slow computer by today standards (a pentium 133). However,
at some point I will have to give up the search for prime since the
calculation will be just to long. I dont think calculation time over
6 month are pratical. When the smallest candidate prime available will take
that long to test on mycomputer, I will just give up. I may go on
factorisation
only.
However, I noted a very nice suggestion: just doubled checked the "snails".
At some point, it is the simplest solution to this "problem".
