Have a question on running a sneaker net setup.
I have control over 4 computers at work. That I admin over.
Right now I have started a couple of them up by checking out
exponents for them from home on my machince and then tranferring the
files by e-mail to work. the work todo ini files. As these exponents
are completed are the only files and need to send back home are the
work todo and results files.
The Machine checking these exponents out is a P200 while my computers
at work are PII333's. So time esitmates given to completion are
double the actual time taken . (roughly)
Also on a side note. The time gains comparing the PII333 to my P200
on roughly halved the time to completion. RC5 tripled in comparison.
I know one is floating point and RC5 is integer based type math. So
is there time to be gained in using PII instruction sets?
