On KDE it's really simple. You just open a kfm (K file manager) and browse
your mersenne directory. Then drag mprime icon to your desktop and select
create link from the appearing menu. After that you can right click the
newly created 'shortcut' on your desktop to adjust properties. To run
mprime just click the icon. Of course you can just open a terminal and run
mprime manually from there too.
