Hi all,

Congratulations also from the entire Entropia team on this milestone!

Here are some definitive answers to the PrimeNet questions:

HTTP is definitely the right protocol to use. We used DCE RPC for the
network software early on, and never quite got it bullet-proofed. HTTP is
much better behaved and going forward will be the only protocol supported.

The non-windows versions all return error 2250 even for HTTP connection
failures. It was initially chosen to match the (then) more common use of
RPC, which reports error 2250 for connection failures. There are some
circumstances where 2250 can show up for HTTP connections even in the
Windows clients, such as when the client is being indirectly routed through
the Entropia network to the PrimeNet server and we have the server offline
for maintenance.

Actually, there are some mighty things happening at Entropia and we are
doing a lot of server and network work. PrimeNet was simply offline on and
off as this work happened - sorry for that inconvenience. The recent phase
of cutovers is complete; the next phase will be several weeks from now.
