This is a bad idea, unless there is also a mechanism to report partial
progress
on manual check-out exponents. Currently, the server thinks there is no
progress up until the moment the final result is submitted. Expiring an
exponent based on "current iteration at null" would be very annoying if the
work is actually almost complete. I've had double-checks checked in by
"poachers" _long_ before they were due to expire. That's bad enough, but
if the server starts making it official, there won't be much point checking
work out at all.
