Also remember that the current 60 day value will not cause an exponent to
expire in 60 days as it now stands; it's more like 88 days. Now I'm not
advocating reducing that all the way to 7 days, but even if it were, all you
would have to do is change the "check in" parameter to (say) 50 days and the
exponent would then not expire for 57 days (unless it would finish in less
than 50). You could even tell it you were going on "vacation" for 88 days
and it wouldn't expire for 88 days, same as now, regardless of the expected
completion date. There is no reason for those paying attention to have to
check in every week. Those not paying attention are the ones creating the
lags.
