Is there any significant architectural difference between the new & old iMacs? I think not. The reports I've read about the new iMac say that it's faster (no surprise) & has radical styling, but these probably have no effect on its functionality. So the answer is, no change, except that (if it runs at all on existing iMacs) it will run faster.
