As George proposed on the GIMPS forums - and this is still under debate
- it is more likely to be a graded expiry scale. 2-3 months for
trailing-edge doubechecks to 2 years or more for 10M assignments.

Moreover, he proposed a web-form where one could enter a "I'm still
working on this exponent" sort of message that would push an imminent
expiry back. So, there will be plenty of safeguards.

But, no, you won't be able to complete a 10M on a P100 ;-)
