As George proposed on the GIMPS forums - and this is still under debate - it is more likely to be a graded expiry scale. 2-3 months for trailing-edge doubechecks to 2 years or more for 10M assignments. Moreover, he proposed a web-form where one could enter a "I'm still working on this exponent" sort of message that would push an imminent expiry back. So, there will be plenty of safeguards. But, no, you won't be able to complete a 10M on a P100 ;-) Anurag _________________________________________________________________________ Unsubscribe & list info -- http://www.ndatech.com/mersenne/signup.htm Mersenne Prime FAQ -- http://www.tasam.com/~lrwiman/FAQ-mers
