Summary: new Mesa update breaks 3D on Ubuntu 10.10 Product: Mesa Version: git Platform: x86 (IA32) OS/Version: Linux (All) Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Mesa core AssignedTo: mesa-dev@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: hansi...@hotmail.com Hi, I have an older ATi card, VGA compatible controller : ATI Technologies Inc RV370 5B60 [Radeon X300 (PCIE)] (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) The 3D support from X11 was working fine since Ubuntu 8.10. since a week after upgrading to Ubuntu 10.10, a new update broke the 3D support. Now i can't get any kind of 3D going. My driver is -Display- Resolution : 1680x1050 pixels Vendor : The X.Org Foundation Version : 1.9.0.901 -Monitors- Monitor 0 : 1680x1050 pixels -OpenGL- Vendor : X.Org R300 Project Renderer : Gallium 0.4 on RV370 Version : 2.1 Mesa 7.10-devel Direct Rendering : Yes I am a mainstream user, and I don't really know if the bug is caused by Mesa, but I have exhausted my options. I have another computer with a newer nVidia GPU that had the same problem after an upgrade.
