I did refer to the Submitting Patches section of http://mesa3d.org/devinfo.html before submitting the patch, but it seems like it's out-of-date compared to what's in the repo. Oh okay, I wasn't aware of this. This seems like it would be a good bullet to add in the list under "Criteria for accepting patches to the stable branch."
