For meson I don't think it makes any sense to allow using python 2.7 for the generators since meson itself requires 3.x; in the same way I don't think it's worthwhile to allow python 3.x with the current scons build since it requires 2.7 > Since there is no mention about build systems lets leave that as > follow-up patch?
