Hi,

I am new to the list, and hope that this is the correct place for this information. If not, suggestions would be appreciated.

Beginning last week, Google Chrome started failing on my openSUSE Tumbleweed. When it is started from the command line, the following is logged:

finger@localhost:~/home:lwfinger:branches:Virtualization/virtualbox>google-chrome-stable
MESA-INTEL: warning: Haswell Vulkan support is incomplete
MESA-INTEL: warning: Haswell Vulkan support is incomplete
[567:567:0625/141831.899006:ERROR:vaapi_wrapper.cc(875)] vaQueryConfigEntrypoints failed, VA error: the requested VAProfile is not supported [567:567:0625/141831.899241:ERROR:vaapi_wrapper.cc(875)] vaQueryConfigEntrypoints failed, VA error: the requested VAProfile is not supported [567:567:0625/141831.899388:ERROR:vaapi_wrapper.cc(875)] vaQueryConfigEntrypoints failed, VA error: the requested VAProfile is not supported [567:567:0625/141831.899540:ERROR:vaapi_wrapper.cc(875)] vaQueryConfigEntrypoints failed, VA error: the requested VAProfile is not supported [567:567:0625/141833.018341:ERROR:shared_context_state.cc(81)] Skia shader compilation error

A lot more is output to the terminal, but until it is verified that this is the correct place for this problem, that will be withheld.

The running kernel is 6.4.0-rc7 from drm-tip of the i915 group.

The lspci command shows the graphics device to be
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation 4th Gen Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:0416] (rev 06)

A separate box with an 8th generation i7 CPU is OK.

Thanks for reading,

Larry
