I think we'd run the risk of blurring the distinction between
the regular mesa list, the bug list and the developers list.
Whatever you decide, a clear charter of what is appropriate where
and whether one should cross-post is needed.
>From what I see of the regular mesa list, about 90% of reported
Mesa 'bugs' are just simple OpenGL programming errors. I think
it would be better to leave so-called bugs there until someone
decides that there is really an actual bug to report - then
escalate it to the developers list - argue about it there and
report the final result to the general list when a coherent
answer is known.
That way, we keep Joe Public on the regular list and keep the
developers' list tightly focussed.
