Simply open a terminal and launch "glxgears", then, close the window or press
Alt+F4, the following is shown:
$ glxgears
Running synchronized to the vertical refresh. The framerate should be
approximately the same as the monitor refresh rate.
XIO: fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server ":0.0"
after 42 requests (40 known processed) with 0 events remaining.
This is still valid with mesa-demos-7.5.1 under Gentoo also
