Weird, did you subscribe to the spark-users mailing list? I don't think you can

Anyway, to run the shell on a cluster, you need to set the MASTER environment 
variable to the Mesos master URL you want to use (similar to the one you pass 
to the standalone programs). So for example, type

MASTER=1@localhost:5050 ./spark-shell
