mesos-local still confuses \-\-slave=*/\-\-num_slaves=*
\-\-mem/\-\-cpu don't work
\-\-resource string parsing works, but the slaves don't actually offer the
resources passed via that mechanism
as far as i can tell the only thing that works is specifying none which then
inherits the defaults of 1.0 cores and 1024mb ram.
