I've looked at this test pretty carefully and can't see how that exception is not getting caught.. we're not seeing this on our systems and on our apache CI.
If you're willing to help me figure this one out, you can run the gdb-mesos-tests.sh: $ cd build/bin $ ./gdb-mesos-tests.sh And provide the stack trace from the exception.
