Hey Gary,

Mesos master is very light weight. Typically for a 1000 node cluster, the
master doesn't need more than 1 CPU and 256 MB of memory. Regarding disk,
the master only uses it to log its data (At Twitter we have seen 100MB
worth of logs for 1 week) . So how much disk you want for the master is
totally dependent on your data retention policy.

Regarding scaling, Mesos should be able to easily handle a 1000 node
cluster. I recommend 3 master nodes (1 leader, 2 followers) backed up by
zookeeper for fault tolerance.
