Hi everyone, With regards to the question of more usable public key fingerprint verification, I propose that a device (especially mobile) emit an audible encoding of the fingerprint, which the second device decodes and checks.
Almost everything has a microphone and speakers, so verifying a fingerprint would involve bringing two devices to within a reasonable distance and letting them speak to each other. Does that sound like a solution? If so, I'll try to share a proof of concept next week.
