I checked my local downloads cache and I do have the expected file:

b395b021422a027d89884992e91734fc  eglibc-2.18-svnr23787.tar.bz2

I downloaded the file byhand and double checked and the remote file
also matches. Do I think you have a broken proxy in the middle or
something.

Please:

$: bitbake eglibc-inital -c cleanall

and try again. If it still fails I think it may be your proxy which
may have a corrupted file cached.
