If we are helping someone with an issue and ask the person to post the log and we read "U-boot 2014.01" then we understand that they are using the pure mainline version of U-boot 2014.01. However, in this case there are are patches added on top of 2014.01, so the tag should be somewhat different to reflect that extra patches were added and avoid confusion.
