I used menuconfig to create and new kernel config file and placed in our
custom layer but even though I followed the instructions in the kernel
development manual, the build is still not using my custom defconfig file.
$ cat linux-fslc_3.18.bbappend
FILESEXTRAPATHS_prepend := "${THISDIR}/linux-fslc:"
SRC_URI += "file://defconfig"
