The i.MX53 graphics acceleration are not supported on linux-fslc or mainline. The last version supporting the i.MX53 closed bits is Fido; since them we upgraded to GCC 5 and it becomes a big hassle to maintain the compatibility so we dropped it. -- Otavio Salvador O.S.
