Bob, Apologies for the delay. I did not get a chance to build an image yet. I am experimenting with a minimal Root FS. So i took a prebuilt image from NXP website and swapped out the RootFS. I was able to boot with the my experimental Root FS.
I am yet to do any validations on Peripherals. I will let you know how it works when i get to it.
