Hello meta-intel team,

I see the following under :

poky-dylan-9.0.2/meta-intel/meta-crownbay/recipes-kernel/linux/

linux-yocto_3.2.bbappend linux-yocto-rt_3.2.bbappend
linux-yocto_3.4.bbappend linux-yocto-rt_3.4.bbappend
linux-yocto_3.8.bbappend linux-yocto-rt_3.8.bbappend
linux-yocto-dev.bbappend

I see that :

PREFERRED_VERSION_linux-yocto ?= "3.8%"

In

poky-dylan-9.0.2/meta-intel/meta-crownbay/conf/machine/crownbay.conf

My question to you folks is "should I be able to build a working crownbay image
with a 3.2 and 3.4 kernel?"

More importantly, "should I expect EMGD to work under that configuration?"

If not, what purpose do those files serve in this release?

I apologize if these are ignorant questions. Any light that you might shed on
this subject is welcome.

Thank You,
