Current intel-common is having 2 single binary for x86 architecture (32-bit & 
64-bit).
However, to boot up the platform, there is still this text change that needs to 
be
manually change such tty0 or tty1 and etc. This will complicate the usage by 
end-customer
and require also customer document update down-stream.

So, we are looking forward to the feature on making selectable menu at 
boot-loader level
to select the correct platforms in YP1.7. By then, when the technology is more 
mature,
we will converge all BPS into 2 above. 

I hope that I answer why the case above.
