This is a rather large update. We bring in 4.4.16, 4.4.17, and 4.4.18 stable patches. The patches needed for preempt-rt were brought in as well, so that also finally got bumped.
This update is very late because the 4.4.16 merge had i915 conflicts that needed resolved, and the kernel tools were updated at the same time. Due to the kernel tools update revealing some configuration issues the cache needed several changes. Further changes need to be made still, but with this set we at least get clean builds with intel-corei7-64 and intel-core2-32 on the 4.4.18 kernel. There is one new error in this update: [ 1.169900] amd_nb: Cannot enumerate AMD northbridges This was introduced by the following patch: d9c5952 x86/amd_nb: Fix boot crash on non-AMD systems This is irrelevant to us, and really just highlights more configuration options we should turn off in the future. As usual, this patch is also available at: git://git.yoctoproject.org/meta-intel-contrib -b clsulliv/master-test California Sullivan (1): linux-yocto/4.4: Bump to 4.4.18 and update cache for tool changes common/recipes-kernel/linux/linux-yocto-rt_4.4.bbappend | 6 +++--- common/recipes-kernel/linux/linux-yocto-tiny_4.4.bbappend | 6 +++--- common/recipes-kernel/linux/linux-yocto_4.4.bbappend | 6 +++--- 3 files changed, 9 insertions(+), 9 deletions(-) -- 2.5.5 -- _______________________________________________ meta-intel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.yoctoproject.org/listinfo/meta-intel
