So, everywhere here the platform is referred to as "AM62L Badge", including
device tree, TFA and U-boot configs. Why is the machine config then called
BeagleBadge? Does this come from the BeagleBoard.org?

Yes this is a beagle device, but beagle sources are still not updated
to build BeagleBadge. In TI trees, we refrained from using beagle
naming convention until today, that is why you see AM62L Badge
there.
