Dear all,

the inclusion of "meta-openamp" in the petalinux build process makes
it impossible to write the kernel config variable
"CONFIG_UIO_PDRV_GENIRQ" from "meta-user".
I consider this as a bug, and I am unable to find a proper working workaround.
I tried a whole bunch of things, including:
- changing bblayers.conf to exclude openamp.cfg (but petalinux just
overwrites bblayers.conf constantly, and thus ignores changes)
- creating a BBMASK for the offending .bbappend concerning
openamp.cfg, but no luck there either
See also my post here:
https://forums.xilinx.com/t5/Embedded-Linux/UIO-not-detected-in-device-tree-2019-1/m-p/1087789/highlight/true#M41164
My workaround for local builds is modifying "openamp.cfg" in the
petalinux install directory; but this of course does not help
developer groups that want reproducible builds.

Kind regards,

Karl Sturm
