Hello meta-xilinx@,

I see a series of 8 commits on master-next that bumps meta-xilinx-bsp from honister to langdale, past kirkstone.

It was disappointing for me that the meta-xilinx family of layers missed the LTS release of dunfell, but I was hoping that it was just about timing and circumstances and I was anticipating that with kirkstone I would finally be able to get everything onto an LTS release. Now that it looks like the same skip might take place with kirkstone and I'm wondering what's up. I hadn't seen this communicated anywhere.

This has come up numerous times in the last couple months. See:

Short answer, we have no plans to do an LTS release. If you (and other community members) want an LTS release, I'm happy to manage the branch, but I can't spend much more effort then simply applying commits to it.

Our current work (2022) is based on Honister, while our future work (2023) will be based on Langdale or newer.
