Agreed, this looks like a local network issue.
Be sure you are allowed to clone the necessary items.
git clone https://github.com/Xilinx/embeddedsw.git
If this doesn't work, you need to resolve it before.
Depending on where you are, github may be restricted depending on local
firewall, country firewall, or even github and global sanctions (primarily US
based.)

My bet at the moment goes to proxies being used in your network and
settings for these aren't being passed into confined environments of
bitbake execution.
I may be wrong, but I'd make sure you're not behind authenticated
proxies.
Are you running Linux natively or on Windows in WSL2?

I have also tried langdale branch with same result. As to check my
system and network restriction i tried to download same using direct
git with successful result. I am unable to understand why i am
