[meta-xilinx] meta-xilinx 2016.3 - Linux version 4.6

I noticed that the Linux version of meta-xilinx 2016.3 is 4.6:

Linux version 4.6.0-xilinx
gcc version 5.3.0 (GCC)
Also it seems like the recipe for linux-xlnx_4.4 is removed; does it mean that, 
if I'm required to use the linux version 4.4, I should remain with meta-xilinx 
2016.2?
