About 90% of the Macintosh toolbox calls that MetaCard uses are fine the way they are. But 10% of the calls call toolbox routines that no longer exist under Carbon and have been either eliminated or replaced. I'd also venture to guess that there'll be some CodeWarrior tools that will help this process, if there aren't already. Apple said that Photoshop was made Carbon-compliant in about one week... by one programmer. 'Course that's Apple talking. What're they GONNA say? :) Again, MetaCard apps should run fine under OS X, but they'll run under the "Classic" box, meaning emulation. The emulation should be very fast... but you don't get protected memory and all that buzzword stuff. But OS X plus MetaCard equals a REALLY compelling situation, if you ask me! As An Aside... I was once e-mailed by Apple and told that I was on the HyperCard 3 beta test list! But that was the "old" Apple (as in no "Jobs"), and I'd put serious cash on Apple delivering OS X. :) Richard MacLemale Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/metacard%40lists.best.com/ Info: http://www.xworlds.com/metacard/mailinglist.htm Please send bug reports to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, not this list.
